We are happy to announce that we have successfully concluded the first spring camp session held by Youth For Future! Last week, the children had a blast at our one-day retreat.
For the past few months, the children have been focusing on the topic of Identity and Diversity. Throughout the unit, they created various projects, including PowerPoint presentations and digital posters.
During this spring camp, the children showcased the final project they have been working on for the past few weeks. This project allowed them to simulate running their own travel agency, tasked with creating a one-day plan including meals, activities, and other features, based on their chosen country. During the camp, the children set up their own travel agency booths, striving to attract customers from among the other children, volunteers, and care workers.
This camp marked the conclusion of our exploration unit on Identity and Diversity. The children engaged in various activities that celebrated different cultures and traditions around the world, including creating Australian Aboriginal art, making Canadian pancakes and Turkish kebabs, among many other multicultural activities.
We ended the day with a reflection session, where both the children and the care workers discussed the fun, challenges, and learning opportunities of the day. We thank all the volunteers who made this an unforgettable day for the children at our camp!
