Across the four care homes we regularly visit, students in the Global Identity Program (GIP) are now working on their third project within the Social Entrepreneurship unit. This time, their focus is on environmental issues—specifically, human-caused problems that harm animals. Their mission? To create a compelling "call to action" video that raises awareness and inspires change.
The children have recently completed the storyboards for their videos, and their creativity is already shining through. At several homes, students have taken the initiative to craft their own props, setting the stage for powerful storytelling.

What’s been especially inspiring is witnessing the growing sense of agency and leadership among the children. Not only are they collaborating effectively with one another, but many are also stepping up to direct our volunteer staff, assigning them specific roles in their video projects. It’s been a powerful reminder of what young people can accomplish when given the space and support to lead.
We can’t wait to see how their projects evolve as they begin filming and editing. The final videos will be showcased this summer during our camp, where each group will have the opportunity to present their work—and celebrate their creativity, teamwork, and passion for making a difference.
